Couple among five children feared Dead in Reasi Landslide Tragedy

Reasi 30 August :- A devastating landslide in the Mahore area of Reasi district has buried a family home, leaving seven people, including a couple and their five young children, feared dead on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Nazir Ahmed (38), his wife Wazira Begum (35), and their five sons: Bilal Ahmed (13), Mohd Mustafa (11), Mohd Adil (8), Mohd Mubarak (6), and Mohd Wasim (5). The entire family was from the village of Baddar.

Senior officials, including Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, confirmed that a major rescue operation is underway. “All rescue teams, including senior officials from the District Administration, are on the spot,” an official stated. Authorities are working to clear the debris and locate the missing individuals. Commissioner Kumar added, “At least around seven people are feared dead, it will be cleared after the rescue operation completes; all teams are on the job.”
