Minister Javed Ahmed Rana Reviews Infrastructure and Academic Facilities at GDC Mendhar
MENDHAR, April 18, 2026:Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, visited Chhote Shah Government Degree College (GDC) Mendhar today to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the institution’s infrastructure and the facilities available to students and staff.
During the visit, the Minister engaged in detailed interactions with the faculty to evaluate current academic and administrative requirements.
He performed a thorough inspection to identify critical gaps in the existing setup and issued directives for a swift identification of necessary upgrades to ensure that the college meets modern educational standards at the earliest.
The Minister highlighted the government’s ongoing initiatives specifically designed to strengthen academic institutions located in remote and border regions. He emphasized that the administration’s primary focus is on expanding resources and fostering an enabling environment that promotes high-quality learning.
During his tour, a delegation of academic arrangement faculty met with the Minister to submit a memorandum regarding concerns over salary structures, professional designations, and general service conditions.
Responding to these concerns, the Minister assured the delegation that their legitimate grievances would be brought before the relevant authorities for timely resolution, reiterating that the development of GDC Mendhar is vital to the government’s vision of providing equitable access to education across the region.
