Jammu 29 August :-+Traffic is moving smoothly on Mughal Road and the SSG Road in accordance with the latest advisory issued by traffic authorities. Meanwhile, the Sinthan road has been opened for Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) only, as confirmed by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
Commuters on all open routes are strongly advised to maintain strict lane discipline, as irresponsible overtaking is likely to cause unnecessary congestion. However, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW) remains completely closed for traffic due to significant damage at multiple locations between Jakheni and Chenani.
The public is urged not to undertake any journey on this highway until restoration work is fully completed and the road surface is declared traffic-worthy. Officials have also cautioned travelers against paying heed to unverified rumors and to instead check the official, real-time status of all roads on the traffic police’s verified Twitter handle and Facebook page.
