Jammu and Kashmir Weather Update: Thundershowers and Hailstorm Predicted for Saturday Evening

SRINAGAR April 11, 2026 :-The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting late-afternoon thundershowers, gusty winds, and potential hailstorms across several parts of the region this Saturday.

According to MeT officials, while the day may start calm, isolated areas are likely to experience brief spells of light rain and atmospheric instability as the evening approaches. Looking ahead, the weather is expected to stabilize on April 12 with only minor, isolated showers, followed by a period of clear skies on April 13 and 14.

However, a return of scattered rain and thundershowers is anticipated later in the week, specifically around April 16 and 17. In light of the shifting conditions, the MeT department has noted that maximum temperatures are expected to rise gradually over the next five days, prompting an advisory for farmers to resume general agricultural operations during the dry windows.
