Pakistani Balloon Recovered Near International Border in Arnia Sector

ARNIA SECTOR — April 11, 2026 :-Security forces were placed on high alert early Saturday morning after a suspected Pakistani balloon was discovered deep within Indian territory.

At approximately 06:55 hours, local authorities received reports of a suspicious object grounded at the Sardari Playground near Garore Nala.

The location falls under the immediate jurisdiction of the Border Police Post (BPP) Sai in the Arnia Sector.Following the initial sighting, a specialized team from BPP Sai was dispatched to the scene to secure the perimeter and neutralize any potential threat.

The object, described as a green and white balloon, was safely recovered and taken into official custody. While such sightings occur periodically along the International Border, security agencies treat every incursion with high priority to rule out surveillance or tactical motives.

The balloon is currently being held at the Sai Border Police Post, where it will undergo a detailed forensic examination. Officials are working to determine the object’s exact origin and whether its crossing was accidental or intentional.

Police have reiterated their commitment to border security and continue to urge residents to remain vigilant, requesting that any unusual objects or activities be reported immediately to the nearest police station.
