CDS General Anil Chauhan Meets Industry Leaders to Boost India’s Defense Space Capabilities
NEW DELHI, March 14, 2026 — In a significant move to strengthen national security through aerospace innovation, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, engaged in a high-level strategic discussion with 40 prominent industry and startup leaders from the Indian space ecosystem.
Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the session focused on the theme “Enhancing Space Capabilities in the Indian Defence Sector.” The dialogue emphasized the critical role of private-sector integration in modernizing military infrastructure.
The interaction featured a robust assembly of experts, including G. Satheesh Reddy, Member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), alongside key representatives from the DRDO, ISRO, and the Defence Space Agency (DSA), all aiming to foster a collaborative roadmap for indigenous space-based defense technology.
