DG SSB Sanjay Singhal Reviews Operational Readiness at Muzaffarpur and Sitamarhi Border Outposts

MUZAFFARPUR, Feb 16, 2026 — Sanjay Singhal, Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), conducted a comprehensive high-level visit to the Sector Headquarters in Muzaffarpur and critical border outposts (BOPs) on February 15, 2026.

Upon his arrival at the Sector HQ, the Director General was received with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, signaling the start of an intensive review aimed at boosting morale and evaluating the strategic posture of the forces stationed along the sensitive border regions.

During the tour, Singhal engaged in direct interactions with officers and jawans to discuss field challenges and welfare. His itinerary included a field inspection of BOP Sonbarsa and BOP Inderwa, both falling under the Area of Responsibility (AoR) of the 51st Battalion SSB, Sitamarhi-II.

Throughout the site visits, the DG meticulously inspected campus infrastructure and assessed the operational preparedness of the units. He emphasized the importance of heightened security arrangements and vigilance to ensure the integrity of the border, providing strategic guidance to the personnel on the ground.
