SRINAGAR, February 12, 2026 — A road accident in the early hours of Thursday left one person injured in the Barzulla area of Srinagar. The incident occurred when an i20 passenger vehicle, bearing registration number JK01T/0002, reportedly lost control and collided with a roadside divider, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
The driver has been identified as Suhaib Shabir Sofi, son of Shabir Ahmad Sofi and a resident of Qamarwari. Immediately following the crash, local bystanders and authorities intervened to rescue the driver from the wreckage. He was subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment for his injuries.
