Omar Abdullah Reviews Development and Tourism in Srinagar Meetings

SRINAGAR, JULY 03 — Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met with public representatives, trade officials, and tourism stakeholders today at Raabita to discuss public welfare, regional development, and business growth across Jammu and Kashmir.

Legislators Rajiv Jasrotia of Jasrota, Shamima Firdous of Habba Kadal, and Mehraj Malik of Doda briefed the Chief Minister on the immediate needs of their respective constituencies.

They emphasized the urgency of improving local infrastructure, upgrading public service delivery, and accelerating ongoing development projects to enhance the overall quality of life for residents. Abdullah assured the lawmakers that the government would thoroughly examine all genuine concerns for timely action.

Business and tourism representatives also shared their priorities during the session. Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation President Mohammad Yaseen Khan raised pressing issues facing the local business community, while Tourist Trade Interest Guild Chairman Zahoor Ahmed Karnai led a delegation focused on expanding tourism outreach.

The discussions focused on strategic initiatives to boost tourist inflows and strengthen the sector. Abdullah welcomed the constructive feedback and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining an active dialogue with all stakeholders to drive inclusive economic progress.
