DIG South Kashmir Launches Specialized Training for Police Investigating Officers in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 03, 2026 – DIG South Kashmir Range Javed Iqbal Mattoo, accompanied by SSP Anantnag Amritpal Singh and the DDPs of Anantnag, Kulgam, and Shopian, inaugurated a 10-day specialized training programme for police officers at the District Police Office in Anantnag.

The intensive training module is designed to sharpen the professional competence and legal expertise of investigating officers, focusing on high-stakes areas such as the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the complexities of terror financing.

Throughout the session, expert resource persons and specialized faculty will conduct lectures on digital forensics, economic offenses, and modern investigative techniques to ensure the force is equipped to handle emerging crime challenges.

By prioritizing advanced legal understanding and evidence-based investigation, this initiative aims to enhance the effectiveness of the South Kashmir police in tackling sophisticated criminal activities and ensuring robust judicial outcomes.
