Two Killed as Vehicle Plunges into Deep Gorge in Reasi’s Dharangli Tote

REASI, February 3, 2026 — A tragic road accident in the Dharangli Tote area of Reasi district claimed the lives of two young men early Tuesday morning.

According to official reports, the victims were traveling through a treacherous hilly stretch when their vehicle skidded off the road and plummeted into a deep gorge. The deceased have been identified as Mannu, son of Rattan Singh, and Jagdev Singh, son of Balwan Singh, both hailing from Shoral village.

Authorities stated that the accident occurred during the early hours of the day after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Immediately following the incident, a rescue operation was mobilized to reach the crash site. Teams successfully retrieved the bodies from the rugged terrain of the gorge.

Local police have since registered a formal case regarding the incident, and a thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fatal crash.
