IG Assam Rifles (North) Conducts Comprehensive Operational Review of Dimapur Sector in Nagaland
DIMAPUR, February 02, 2026: Major General Harinder Singh Mavi, the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North), recently concluded an extensive four-day visit to the Dimapur Sector in Nagaland, spanning from January 28 to January 31, 2026.
The visit was focused on a high-level assessment of the force’s operational readiness and the administrative effectiveness of the units stationed in this strategically sensitive region.
During his stay, the Inspector General reviewed ongoing security activities, troop welfare measures, and the prevailing civil-military interface, while also engaging with commanders to address the unique challenges faced by units under the Dimapur Sector.
By evaluating the force’s preparedness in safeguarding internal security, Maj Gen Mavi underscored the Assam Rifles’ pivotal role in maintaining long-term stability across the North Eastern frontier, ensuring that personnel remain equipped and motivated to handle evolving security dynamics.
