Scheduled Power Shutdown in Jammu, Kathua, and Rajouri on February 2: Check Affected Areas and Timings
JAMMU, January 30, 2026 – The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has notified the public of several scheduled power outages across the region to facilitate essential maintenance and system upgrades.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), electricity supply to several prominent areas including Suhagpur, Arnia, Bishnah, Kunjwani, Bandurakh, Sarore, and Barnoti will be suspended on February 2 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
On the same day, residents in Biaspur, Kotli, Kalyana, and Salehar will experience a brief outage from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while regions in and around Manjakote, Thanamandi, and BGSB University will see power cuts from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Additionally, the Superintending Engineer for the Kathua Circle has scheduled intermittent shutdowns for the Surara area on January 31, February 3, and February 5, and for the Nud area on February 1, 4, and 5, all between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Local residents are advised to plan accordingly for these temporary disruptions aimed at improving the reliability of the power infrastructure.
