JAMMU — January 30, 2026: Senior officers and staff from the Police Headquarters (PHQ), Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ), and the Telecommunications wing gathered today in the lawns of the Police Headquarters in Jammu to observe a solemn two-minute silence in honor of Martyrs’ Day.
The assembly served as a national tribute to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice during the struggle for India’s independence. Additional Director-General of Armed Police, Anand Jain, led the gathered personnel in paying deep respects to those whose bravery secured the nation’s freedom, emphasizing the importance of remembering their legacy in the continued service of the country.
The solemn ceremony saw participation from a distinguished group of high-ranking officials, including IGP (POS) Uttam Chand, DIGs of PHQ Nisha Nathyal and Mubassir Latifi, DIG IRP Jammu Vinod Kumar, and DPT J&K J.S. Johar. They were joined by AIsG of PHQ, the SO to ADGP Armed, and various other gazetted officers and staff members who stood in unified silence.
