SAMBA, January 17, 2026 — Jammu and Kashmir BJP President and Member of Parliament Sat Sharma, alongside General Secretary Ashok Koul and MLAs Surjit Singh Salathia and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, addressed a significant public gathering in Samba district under the VB-GRAM-G initiative.
During a massive rally organized as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat and G-Ram-G’ awareness campaign, Sat Sharma emphasized that the Viksit Bharat vision provides a decisive roadmap for India to become a developed nation by 2047 through infrastructure expansion and economic reforms.
He noted that Jammu and Kashmir is currently undergoing a historic transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, moving past decades of instability to integrate fully into the national development process.
The event highlighted the critical role of grassroots empowerment and infrastructure growth in the region’s future. Ashok Koul pointed to unprecedented progress in healthcare, education, and digital connectivity following the abrogation of Article 370, while Surjit Singh Salathia detailed the impact of transparent governance and the recent ₹1,430 crore central sanction for flood restoration in the Jammu region.
Furthermore, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal stressed the importance of the G-Ram-G initiative in transforming villages into self-reliant units. He highlighted that focus remains on improving rural infrastructure and skill development to empower youth as active stakeholders in nation-building.
