J&K Youth Services and Sports Department Forms Committee to Scrutinize U-14 Cricket Selection

JAMMU, JANUARY 05, 2026 – The Directorate of Youth Services & Sports, Jammu and Kashmir, has officially constituted a specialized committee to oversee the transparency and fairness of the selection process for the 69th National School Games. Under the direction of Director General Anuradha Gupta (JKAS), the five-member panel is tasked with scrutinizing all score sheets and relevant records from the recently concluded ‘Inter District UT level’ U-14 Cricket League matches.

This review is designed to verify that the final team selection strictly adheres to established norms and procedural guidelines.

The committee is chaired by Pankaj Sasan, a Physical Education Lecturer from District Jammu and Senior National Player, and includes prominent members such as Arshad Bhat, Jagtar Singh, Paramjeet Singh, and Mukesh Sharma—all of whom bring significant experience as Ranji Trophy or Senior National players.

To ensure a swift and decisive review, the Directorate has mandated the committee to submit its final report by January 5, 2026.

Furthermore, Joint Directors in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions have been instructed to provide the committee with immediate access to all necessary records to maintain the integrity of the departmental selection process.
