Rehambal Police Seize Vehicle Valued at 8 Lakh in Drug Trafficking Investigation​

Udhampur, 26th April 2026:-​In a continued effort to achieve a drug-free Udhampur, the local police have attached movable property worth 8 lakh in a separate narcotics-related enforcement action.

The Rehambal Police targeted the assets of Danish Butt, a resident of District Doda, under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act. The seizure is linked to FIR No. 32/2026, which involves charges under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the Act. The action serves as a stern warning to those involved in the transport and distribution of prohibited substances in the region.​

The specific asset attached in this case is a Swift Dzire car, which authorities believe was utilized or acquired through activities related to drug trafficking. With this latest seizure in Rehambal, the Udhampur Police has now attached a total of 1.50 crore in properties from various drug peddlers during the current campaign.

Law enforcement officials stated that such measures are essential to breaking the supply chain of narcotics and maintaining the momentum of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan.
