Reasi Police attached Motorcycle of Habitual Drug Peddler Under Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan
REASI, April 27, 2026 — Intensifying the crackdown on narcotics trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Reasi Police has attached the illegally acquired property of a notorious drug peddler.
Under the supervision of SSP Mukund Tibrewal, authorities seized a motorcycle belonging to Ajay Singh, a resident of Panthal, Katra, who has been identified as a habitual offender. The attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act and is linked to a 2025 criminal case registered at the Katra Police Station.
Investigations confirmed that the vehicle was purchased using proceeds from the illicit drug trade, leading to its formal confiscation as part of a broader strategy to dismantle the financial networks of local traffickers.
The operation was executed by a team including PSI Akhilesh Khajuria and Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, with oversight from SDPO Bhishm Dubey and SP Kameshwar Puri. Ajay Singh has a history of multiple criminal involvements, and this latest action underscores the department’s resolve to target the assets of those who profit from substance abuse.
Reasi Police reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urged the public to continue sharing information regarding narcotics smuggling. Officials emphasized that community cooperation is essential to maintaining the momentum of the anti-drug campaign and ensuring the safety of the region’s youth.
