Punjab Police Bust Gangster Module Operated by Foreign Contacts in Major Anti-Gangster Task Force Operation
CHANDIGARH, APRIL 20: In a significant breakthrough against organized crime, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police, in a joint operation with the District SAS Nagar Police, has successfully dismantled a gangster module managed by foreign-based criminals.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of four suspects and the recovery of two foreign-made .30 caliber pistols along with eight live cartridges.
This coordinated action represents a major blow to the logistical networks of international criminal elements operating within the state.Initial investigations have established a direct link between one of the arrested individuals and a high-profile murder case from July 2025 involving the owner of the ‘Wear Well’ showroom in Abohar.
The suspect is alleged to have provided critical logistical support to the primary assailants in that incident.
As the Punjab Police continue their crackdown on organized crime syndicates, further investigations are currently underway to trace additional links, and authorities have indicated that more arrests are anticipated in the coming days to ensure regional safety and security.
