Prime Minister Narendra Modi Announces Financial Aid for Udhampur Bus Accident Victims

JAMMU, April 20 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep pain over the loss of lives resulting from a tragic bus accident in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on X, he extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and offered prayers for the rapid recovery of all those injured in the mishap.

To support the affected families, the Prime Minister announced that an ex-gratia payment of 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased person.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister confirmed that 50,000 will be given to each of the injured individuals to assist with their medical needs and recovery.
