Omar Abdullah Dedicates Advanced Medical Equipment Worth 2.25 Crore to JLNM Hospital Srinagar

SRINAGAR, MAY 10: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah dedicated high-tech medical equipment worth 2.25 crore to the public at Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital today, significantly enhancing the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of the facility.

The equipment, which was provided under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of HDFC Bank, includes an ERCP Endoscopy machine, an Ultra Doppler Sound machine, a tissue processor for histopathology, and specialized laser urology tools.

This upgrade is expected to streamline critical healthcare services and provide local residents with access to advanced medical procedures within the government hospital.

During his visit to the medical center, the Chief Minister toured several upgraded sections, including the departments of pathology and laboratory, as well as the immunology and biochemistry sections.

He took the opportunity to interact with doctors, technicians, and paramedical staff, praising their unwavering commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to the community year-round.

The Chief Minister emphasized that strengthening hospital infrastructure remains a priority for the administration to ensure better patient outcomes across the region.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo, and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq. Also present were the Medical Superintendent of JLNM Hospital and senior representatives from HDFC Bank.

The introduction of this specialized equipment marks a major step in modernizing the hospital’s diagnostic wing, allowing for more precise testing and minimally invasive surgical options for patients in Srinagar.
