Jammu Power Shutdown Scheduled for Key Industrial and Residential Areas in Kathua and Vijaypur

JAMMU, May 30 — Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several industrial and residential clusters over the coming days to facilitate essential maintenance works.

According to the department, electricity supply to K4 Industry and its surrounding locations will experience a brief disruption on May 31 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. Additionally, a six-hour outage is scheduled for Old Vijaypur, Vijaypur Industry, Agriculture Sujwan, and adjoining areas on May 31, lasting from 6:00 am until 12:00 noon.

Several other localities will face extended maintenance outages starting this weekend. Power supply to Purmandal 1st, Purmandal 2nd, and neighboring sectors will remain affected on both May 31 and June 2 from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm. On May 31, the broader Vijaypur area and its vicinity will also see a shutdown from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm.

For residents and businesses in Badhori, Meen, and nearby pockets, the power cut is slated for June 1 between 6:00 am and 1:00 pm, while the Nandpur area will experience a shutdown on the same day from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. Finally, the power supply to Jakh and adjoining areas is scheduled to remain affected on June 2 from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon.
