INS Utkrosh Celebrates 41 Years of Maritime Excellence and Airborne Vigilance in Port Blair

PORT BLAIR MAY 12, 2026 :- INS Utkrosh, the premier naval air station under the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), officially marked its 41st Anniversary, celebrating over four decades of unwavering commitment to India’s maritime security and airborne surveillance.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the base organized a series of events that transitioned from high-energy physical activities to deeply impactful community service initiatives.

The celebrations kicked off with a spirited Walkathon , bringing together personnel and their families to promote fitness and esprit de corps, followed by a traditional Barakhana, a communal feast that underscores the deep-rooted camaraderie and bond shared among all ranks of the Indian Navy.

Beyond the ceremonial festivities, INS Utkrosh reaffirmed its dedication to the welfare of the local community and its own personnel through a comprehensive Medical Camp and a large-scale Blood Donation Drive.

These humanitarian efforts highlighted the “spirit of service” that has defined the air station since its commissioning. Over the past 41 years, INS Utkrosh has evolved into a critical strategic asset, ensuring maritime readiness and safeguarding the nation’s interests in the strategically vital Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea.

Under the aegis of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, the station continues to stand as a sentinel of the skies, balancing its rigorous operational mandate with a profound sense of social responsibility and togetherness.
