Indian Navy warships Taragiri and Satpura visit Chennai Port for outreach program
CHENNAI, JUNE 24 — As part of the Indian Navy’s outreach programme, two Eastern Fleet warships, INS Taragiri and INS Satpura, berthed alongside at Chennai Port on June 23. The ships were open for a visit by more than 1,000 personnel, which included NCC Cadets, Officer Cadets from OTA Chennai, and over 500 schoolchildren.
The visitors were given a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the strength of the Indian Navy, its cutting-edge capabilities, and its maritime technological prowess.During the visit, participants gained valuable insight into the operational capabilities of the Indian Navy and experienced what life is like onboard a frontline warship.
The entire event was organized by HQ TNP and INS Anvesh at the Chennai Port. Serving as a proud display of India’s maritime strength, the initiative successfully inspired young minds to explore future careers in the Indian Navy and contribute to nation-building.
