Indian Army fire rescue operation in Jhansi Manik Chowk Bazaar averts major tragedy

Jhansi, July 2, 2026:- Troops of the White Tiger Division swiftly mobilized during the evening hours of July 1 to assist civil authorities after a major fire broke out at Manik Chowk Bazaar in Jhansi.

Operating in close coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services, the Indian Army firefighting teams responded to a rapidly spreading blaze in a warehouse located within the densely populated market area.

Through timely and coordinated action, the joint teams safely evacuated over 30 civilians, preventing loss of life and averting a major tragedy.

The combined efforts of the Indian Army, fire services, police, and civil administration successfully contained and extinguished the blaze, minimizing property damage and demonstrating a steadfast commitment to safeguarding lives during crises.
