Honey extraction program held at DCTC Chimna Chak in Jammu
JAMMU, MAY 09: A two-day honey extraction program concluded at the DCTC Chimna Chak in Bishnah under the direction of Director Agriculture Jammu Anil Gupta.
The initiative was conducted under the close supervision of the committee responsible for assessing honey crop yields to ensure the process met necessary agricultural standards.The extraction was attended by Assistant Entomologist Harvinder Singh and Program Officer Vivek Mahajan, along with the apiculture development scheme team.
The group monitored the activities to evaluate the productivity of the bee colonies kept at the center. This assessment is part of a larger effort to ensure scientific management is applied to regional apiculture activities for better results.
During the event, Harvinder Singh spoke about how scientific beekeeping practices are vital for increasing honey production and boosting the livelihoods of local beekeepers.
The officials praised the field staff for their hard work and stressed the importance of maintaining high quality standards during both the extraction and processing phases.
