Manoj Sinha joins Ashura procession in Srinagar
SRINAGAR, JUNE 26, 2026 :- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined the Youm-e-Ashura Zuljinah procession at Zadibal in Srinagar today to observe the 10th day of Muharram.
During the solemn event, Manoj Sinha paid humble tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions, emphasizing that their supreme sacrifice for peace, love, and compassion serves as an eternal guide for building an equal and harmonious society.
Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Manoj Sinha stated that Hazrat Imam Hussain gave a timeless message of selfless service and compassion for the underprivileged. He urged society to draw inspiration from the noble life and virtues of Hazrat Imam Hussain, encouraging people to walk the righteous path of truth, justice, and humanity.
As a gesture of support, the Lieutenant Governor also served refreshments to the mourners participating in the procession.
