Eid-ul-Azha celebrated with immense devotion and grand congregations across Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, MAY 27, 2026:- Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated across the Kishtwar district with deep religious devotion, joy, and in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

Thousands of devotees gathered at various mosques to offer Namaz-e-Eid, praying for peace, prosperity, and the overall development of the region. Comprehensive logistical and security measures were meticulously organized by the district and police administration to ensure a smooth and safe observance of the festival, especially at the Eidgah Chowgan Ground, where a massive gathering of around 18,000 to 20,000 people congregated to perform the morning prayers.

Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police Naresh Singh were present on the occasion to personally oversee the implementation of the arrangements. They were accompanied by ADC Pawan Kotwal along with other senior officers from the civil administration, police, and CRPF.

The administrative and security officials extended warm Eid greetings to the Muslim community and joined in prayers for enduring peace, unity, communal harmony, and brotherhood throughout the district.
