Assam Rifles honors fallen bravehearts Bhim Sain and Kehar Singh in Manipur ceremonies

KEITHALMANBI, MANIPUR — JULY 12, 2026: Assam Rifles organized two solemn wreath-laying ceremonies at the Assam Rifles War Memorial within the Keithalmanbi Garrison to honor the supreme sacrifice of Rifleman Bhim Sain, recipient of the Sena Medal (Posthumous), and Subedar Kehar Singh, recipient of the Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous).

Held on July 10 and 11, 2026, the events featured senior officials laying wreaths alongside a ceremonial Guard of Honour, allowing personnel to pay homage to the brave soldiers who displayed exceptional courage and selfless devotion to duty during historic counter-insurgency operations in Manipur. The ceremonies reaffirmed the enduring commitment of the Assam Rifles to honoring its fallen heroes and preserving the highest military traditions of valour and service.
