Indian Army Hosts Women’s Health Camp in Remote Poonch Village

POONCH, July 12, 2026: In a continuous effort to support the welfare of local communities, the Indian Army organized a dedicated women’s medical camp today at Chitti Bitti in the Poonch region. The initiative focused on delivering high-quality healthcare services directly to remote areas while raising vital awareness about preventive care, personal hygiene, and general women’s health.

Led by a military nursing officer from 169 Military Hospital, the medical team provided specialized consultations, health check-ups, and lifestyle counseling to the attendees. The camp drew an enthusiastic response from the local community, with a total of 92 women benefiting from the free medical services. This successful outreach event highlights the community’s trust in the military’s welfare initiatives, successfully strengthening civil-military relations and improving essential healthcare access across the Poonch region.
