Dr. Jitendra Singh Monitors Situation After Udhampur Road Accident Injures Amarnath Pilgrims

NEW DELHI/UDHAMPUR, JULY 18, 2026 — Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has taken swift cognizance of a road accident in Udhampur that left six individuals, including five Shri Amarnath Ji pilgrims, injured early this morning.

Providing details via a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Singh confirmed that he received an immediate report regarding a collision between a pilgrim vehicle and a dumper truck near Jakhani. The vehicle was part of a larger convoy transporting over 3,600 pilgrims who had departed from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu, en route to Kashmir for the annual pilgrimage.

Dr. Singh reassured the public that there have been no casualties in the incident and emphasized that his office is in constant communication with local authorities to ensure all necessary assistance is being provided to those affected.
