JHANSI, JULY 17, 2026 — In a significant move to assess and boost the Indian Army’s modern combat capabilities, Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander of the Southern Command, conducted an official visit to the strategic White Tiger Division in Jhansi today. During his visit, the Army Commander reviewed the formation’s overall combat readiness and inspected several ongoing capability enhancement initiatives. He was comprehensively briefed on the integration of cutting-edge, New Generation Equipment, AI-enabled systems, indigenous technological innovations, and unmanned aerial platforms alongside upgraded UAS and counter-UAS systems. These advancements underscore the division’s proactive push toward rapid technology absorption and innovation, ensuring the formation remains a highly modernized, future-ready warfighting force.
As part of his visit, Lt Gen Pushkar interacted closely with the elite personnel of the Shaurya Squadron and witnessed a specialized equipment display highlighting the division’s state-of-the-art combat systems.
