Delhi police arrest absconding member of notorious Imran Mewati ATM robbery gang
DELHI, July 18, 2026: The Anti-Gangster Squad of the Delhi Police Crime Branch achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending a wanted proclaimed absconder associated with the notorious Imran Mewati ATM uprooting gang. The arrest is connected to a high-profile robbery case registered at the Mandawali Fazalpur police station in Delhi.
The criminal network had previously targeted an ICICI Bank ATM, cutting the machine open to steal a significant cash amount totaling 19.32 lakh rupees.The successful operation materialized after the tracking of the fugitive to Tauru in the Nuh district of Haryana. Law enforcement officials managed to pinpoint the suspect’s location through sustained technical intelligence, extensive field surveillance, and meticulous police work.
The crackdown marks a critical step forward in dismantling organized ATM robbery networks operating across state borders.The operation was executed by a dedicated team led by Inspector Krishan Kumar.
The team conducted the raid under the strategic guidance of ACP Bhagwati Prasad and under the direct supervision of DCP Harsh Indora. Following the successful arrest, the Delhi Police are conducting further investigations to uncover more linkages related to the gang’s regional operations.
