DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma reviews security and training preparedness at SKPA Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MAY 4: Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range and Incharge Director of Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, convened a high-level security review and preparedness meeting today to discuss upcoming training courses.

The session was attended by senior officials including Deputy Directors of training, the Commandant of the IRP 24th Battalion, and various assistant directors from the academy.

During the meeting, the DIG conducted a comprehensive assessment of the existing security apparatus and the readiness of the facility to host new training programs for police personnel.

The DIG emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, strengthened intelligence mechanisms, and seamless coordination among all security units. He directed officers to intensify patrolling and reinforce security at all vulnerable points within and around the academy.

In addition to security measures, the meeting focused on meticulous logistical and administrative planning to ensure that the standards of training remain high.

The session concluded with a call for all officers to remain proactive and committed to maintaining a secure environment while ensuring that all arrangements for forthcoming courses are finalized well in advance.
