CRPF Battalions Administer No Tobacco Pledge Across Manipur and Assam Hubs
JIRIBAM, May 31, 2026 — The 20 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force organized a No Tobacco Pledge ceremony to mark World No Tobacco Day. Conducted under the guidance of Commandant Karowng Haopu, the health initiative took place simultaneously across the unit locations in Jiribam, Manipur, and Diphu, Assam.
Officers and jawans gathered at both venues to take the formal oath, publicly reaffirming their dedication to maintaining a healthy and tobacco-free lifestyle.The awareness program focused heavily on highlighting the severe health hazards associated with tobacco consumption and the critical role security personnel play in spreading this message to local communities.
