Budgam Police Lead Anti-Drug Awareness and Community Meetings in District-Wide Campaign

BUDGAM, May 11, 2026:- Under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, Budgam Police have intensified their efforts to combat substance abuse through a series of community outreach programs and awareness initiatives.

The campaign featured diverse activities designed to engage various sections of society, including street plays at Mouchwa and interactive sessions with shopkeepers in the Soibugh Main Market.

Educational engagement was also a priority, highlighted by a poster and slogan competition held at PM Shri GBHS Humhama to involve local students in the movement against narcotics.Alongside these creative initiatives, police officials conducted several village-level Police Community Partnership Group meetings in locations such as Kawoosa Narbal, Rathson Beerwah, and Futlipora Pakherpora.

These meetings served as a platform for officers to educate residents on the devastating effects of drug addiction and the critical role of community vigilance. By encouraging citizens to report suspicious activities and cooperate with law enforcement, the department aims to build a stronger defense against the drug menace.

Budgam Police expressed their firm commitment to sustaining both awareness and enforcement measures to protect the youth and ensure a healthy, drug-free environment.

Participants were urged to remain proactive in their neighborhoods, reinforcing the collective responsibility required to eradicate narcotics from the district.

These coordinated efforts under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan continue to strengthen the bond between the police and the public in their shared fight for social welfare.
