CHURACHANDPUR, JULY 7, 2026:- Assam Rifles personnel successfully administered life saving medical care to a local resident following a critical snakebite incident in Manipur. The victim, identified as N. Khamkhanlam, a 42-year-old resident of Mata Village in the Churachandpur district, was rushed to the military personnel after the encounter with the snake left him in urgent need of professional healthcare.

Recognizing the extreme urgency of the situation, the Assam Rifles medical team acted swiftly within the critical golden hour, which is the immediate window after an injury where prompt treatment has the highest likelihood of preventing death. Medical personnel immediately administered anti-snake venom and provided emergency trauma care to stabilize his vital signs and counter the spread of the toxins.

Following the successful emergency intervention, the patient was moved to the Unit Hospital in Khuga for extended monitoring. Medical officials confirmed that he is currently stable and recovering well under close observation.

Local residents expressed their gratitude to the security forces, noting that the rapid response and availability of specialized medical supplies directly prevented a tragedy in the community.
