JKAACL Honors Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee with Theatrical Tribute “Hey Yugadhar”

JAMMU JULY 06 :- In a vibrant commemoration of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s 126th birth anniversary, the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), in partnership with Viraj Kala Kendra, presented the evocative Hindi play Hey Yugadhar – Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Written and directed by Rajneesh Kumar Gupta, the production offered a unique theatrical narrative where a group of scholars researching the life of the renowned nationalist leader and educationist transition into characters representing pivotal chapters of his legacy.

Featuring a compelling lead performance by Amit Bhalla alongside a dedicated supporting cast and a skilled technical crew, the play successfully brought Dr. Mukherjee’s vision to life. The event, which drew a significant audience of theatre enthusiasts and prominent citizens, concluded with JKAACL Secretary Harvinder Kour praising the artistic excellence of the performance and emphasizing the Academy’s ongoing mission to preserve India’s cultural heritage through productions that inspire and educate the youth.
