Anti-Drug Awareness Rally Held Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in Ganderbal

Ganderbal April 27,2026 :- A large anti-drug awareness rally was organized in Ganderbal under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, bringing together officials From Drig Controll Department, Medical Shop Owners,local residents to raise a strong voice against drug abuse.
The event was organized by the Drug and Food Control Organization Ganderbal in collaboration with the Ganderbal Chemists and Distributors Association (GCDA).Participants assembled in significant numbers, holding placards and banners with messages such as “Say No to Drugs” and “Say Yes to Life,” emphasizing the urgent need to combat the growing menace of substance abuse in society. The rally moved through key areas, attracting public attention and encouraging community participation.
Officials highlighted that drug addiction has emerged as a serious social issue, particularly affecting the youth. They stressed the importance of collective responsibility in preventing drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Speakers at the event urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to remain vigilant and guide young individuals away from harmful substances.
Members of the chemists’ association also pledged their support in ensuring that medicines are not misused and are dispensed responsibly. They called for stricter monitoring and cooperation between authorities and the public to curb illegal drug trafficking.
The rally concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to work together in spreading awareness and building a safer, drug-free society.
