Punjab 16 November :- Based on specific BSF intelligence that Sruti Singh, S/O Ami Chand, age 33 years, resident of Village Kohlian, Tehsil & District Pathankot, was in possession of narcotics at his residence, a joint operation was planned. Troops of BSF Jammu, along with personnel of the Punjab Police, conducted a search of the suspect’s house at Village Kohlian (Bamial).
During the search, approximately 80 grams of suspected heroin was recovered.Accused, Sruti Singh, along with the recovered narcotics, has been handed over to the Punjab Police, and an FIR is being lodged.
BSF remains committed to working closely with sister agencies to maintain peace and security in the border areas.
