Indian Army Begins 21-Day Agniveer and Territorial Army Training for Reasi Youth

REASI, AUGUST 04— In a major push toward empowering youth and boosting employment prospects in remote regions, the Indian Army launched a comprehensive 21-day recruitment training program for Agniveer and Territorial Army aspirants at Sarh in Reasi district on August 3, 2026. Executed under the umbrella of Operation Sadbhavana, the three-week initiative aims to equip local aspirants with the skills, physical standards, and knowledge required to clear competitive armed forces selection processes.

A total of 48 local youths from Sarh and surrounding villages have enrolled in the intensive pre-recruitment course. The curriculum covers all essential aspects of the selection process, including structured physical fitness routines, endurance building, optimized running techniques, and focused coaching for the written examinations. Instructors are also providing step-by-step guidance on recruitment documentation, medical expectations, and official procedures to ensure candidates are fully prepared.

Beyond physical and academic rigor, the program places a strong emphasis on personal development. Mentors are conducting tailored modules on leadership qualities, personality development, discipline, and motivational training to build confidence and resilience among the candidates. Experienced military instructors are supervising the daily sessions, providing personalized feedback to help each participant elevate their physical standards and mental readiness.

The training initiative will conclude with a final assessment to track participant progress, alongside an interactive Q&A session designed to address specific recruitment queries and clarify career pathways in the military. Through ongoing community initiatives like this in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army continues to strengthen its bridge with local communities while driving youth empowerment and nation-building in frontier regions.
