Army Chief Felicitates Veterans With Yoddha Seva Samman in Lucknow
LUCKNOW, AUGUST 04:- General Dhiraj Seth, Chief of the Army Staff, felicitated four distinguished military veterans with the Yoddha Seva Samman during his visit to Lucknow, honoring their exemplary post-retirement contributions to society.
The award recognizes veterans whose dedication, courage, and selfless service continue through impactful work in social service, education, healthcare, strategic thought, and veteran welfare across the nation.Among the honorees, Major General Harsh Kakar (Retd) was recognized for his contributions to national security and strategic thought as Vice Chairman of STRIVE India.
Colonel Arvind Singh Kushwaha (Retd) was honored for his contributions to healthcare and medical education, including his pivotal role at AIIMS Nagpur and COVID-19 management in Maharashtra. Naib Subedar Radhey Shyam (Retd) received the honor for establishing an old-age home for ex-servicemen, war widows, and the underprivileged using his personal resources.
Risaldar Major (Honorary Captain) Vijay Kumar (Retd) was celebrated for establishing a Sainik Library and Motivation Centre to provide free career guidance and computer training to local youth and veterans.
