POONCH , August 04, 2026 — Security forces launched a coordinated joint search operation early Tuesday morning in the Dhara Sangla village, falling under the jurisdiction of the Surankote Police Station in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, following inputs regarding suspicious activity in the area. According to official sources, the Special Operations Group (SOG) Surankote, along with joint security personnel, initiated the sweep at approximately 7:00 AM.
The security response follows two separate sightings of unidentified suspects reported on August 3. The first incident occurred around 1:30 PM near Kherowali Dhok, where four suspicious individuals were spotted, followed by a second report at approximately 6:30 PM near Gujjar Nar involving three suspects.
