Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026: 23rd Batch Departs Jammu for Baltal Base Camp Under Tight Security
JAMMU, July 30, 2026 — The 23rd batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims departed from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu early Thursday morning, heading towards the Baltal base camp under elaborate security cover. The convoy leave as devotees continued their journey to perform darshan at the holy cave shrine located in the Kashmir Valley.
According to official data released by authorities, the latest batch comprised a total of 1,795 pilgrims. A details of the devotees shows that 1,406 male pilgrims and 389 female pilgrims were part of the group. No children, sadhus, sadvis, sadhu children, foreign nationals, or transgender individuals were recorded in this batch on the Baltal route.
To transport the devotees safely, a convoy consisting of 83 vehicles was deployed under strict surveillance. The vehicle details included 41 buses, 11 medium motor vehicles, 30 light motor vehicles, and one two-wheeler. Comprehensive security measures and traffic advisories remain active along the route to maintain seamless movement and safety for all pilgrims.
