SRINAGAR, July 3, 2026:- The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against a resident of Srinagar for allegedly cheating multiple job aspirants of lakhs of rupees. The accused, Fayaz Ahmad Zarger, allegedly duped individuals under the pretext of providing employment in Bahrain using forged documents.

The formal chargesheet under Sections 420, 468, and 471 RPC was presented before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Srinagar. The case originated from a written complaint alleging that the accused operated an entity named HR Choice International Education Consultancy in Karanagar, Srinagar, to lure candidates with false promises of securing overseas employment.

Investigations revealed that the accused collected large sums of money from several victims by providing fabricated job offer letters, fake visas, and forged air tickets. To make the fraudulent scheme appear legitimate, candidates were subjected to staged online interviews, medical examinations, and formal agreements, though no actual employment was arranged and no refunds were provided.

Following a thorough investigation that substantiated the allegations, the law enforcement agency completed all legal formalities to present the case for judicial determination.

In light of the incident, the Economic Offences Wing has advised the general public to remain highly vigilant against economic fraudsters and to report any suspicious activities to the Senior Superintendent of Police of the Economic Offences Wing, Kashmir Crime Branch.
