Udhampur Police attaches drug peddlers properties worth over 3 crore
UDHAMPUR, June 30: In a major crackdown under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan, the Udhampur Police has attached properties valued at 3.32 crore rupees belonging to notorious drug peddlers.
The administrative action was executed under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in connection with two separate cases registered at the Majalta Police Station.
Authorities confirmed that investigations established these assets were acquired directly from the proceeds of illicit narcotics trafficking.The largest chunk of the attached property, valued at 3.1 crore rupees, was seized under FIR No. 30/2026.
This seizure included two residential houses and a Maruti Swift vehicle belonging to Raiyan Mukhtar, a resident of Budshah Natipora in Srinagar, and Ubaid Ullah Lone, a resident of Hanji Dantar in Anantnag.
In a parallel action under FIR No. 66/2026, the police attached assets worth approximately 22 lakh rupees belonging to Riyaz Ahmad Lone of Badrah Payeen, Krala Gund, Kupwara. This second seizure comprised a residential house, two commercial shops, and a plinth.Further legal proceedings regarding the seized assets are currently underway as the department intensifies its financial clampdown on the narcotics network.
The Udhampur Police reiterated its strict commitment to dismantling the infrastructure of drug syndicates and continuing aggressive operations to ensure a drug-free region.
