PTTI Vijaypur organizes anti drug awareness lecture under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan


VIJAYPUR, June 25, 2026
The Police Technical Training Institute, Vijaypur, in collaboration with the Jammu Kashmir Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses and the District De-addiction Centre Samba, organized a comprehensive awareness lecture on drug abuse and drug trafficking at its campus.

Conducted under the national theme of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the educational initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 700 police trainees and staff members dedicated to building a drug-free society.


Addressing the gathering, PTTI Vijaypur Principal Ranjit Singh Sambyal emphasized the growing threat posed by substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking, particularly among the younger generation.

He highlighted that collective efforts involving continuous awareness, education, strong family support systems, and proactive community participation are essential to effectively combat the menace and create a safer environment.


The keynote lecture was delivered by JKSPYM Project Director Pallavi Singh, who provided valuable insights into the psychological causes, societal consequences, and preventive measures related to narcotics.

She stressed the importance of early intervention, professional counseling, accessible rehabilitation, and community engagement in addressing substance abuse issues. The interactive session concluded with a lively question-and-answer segment and a collective pledge by all participants to adopt healthy lifestyles and contribute toward a drug-free India.
