IAF launches helicopter flood relief operation in Pitapool Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR, June 25, 2026 :- The Indian Air Force launched a critical helicopter sortie to conduct emergency flood relief operations in the Pitapool area of Arunachal Pradesh.

Operating under highly challenging weather conditions and navigating difficult mountainous terrain, the aircrew successfully reached the flood-hit sector to deliver vital humanitarian assistance to the stranded population.

During the mission, the helicopter delivered 350 kilograms of National Disaster Response Force relief material, which included an essential rescue boat to aid in local evacuation efforts.

The air force also safely inducted specialized personnel on-site, enabling timely and coordinated assistance to the local civil administration and providing immediate relief to the affected populace.
