Ghulam Ali Khatana holds public meet in Gool to address local issues

RAMBAN, JUNE 14 — Member of Parliament Ghulam Ali Khatana hosted a public grievance redressal meet in Gool today to directly listen to and resolve the developmental concerns and demands of the local residents.

The event witnessed a large turnout of community members, public representatives, and local stakeholders who highlighted critical needs concerning regional infrastructure, healthcare, education, banking, employment, and tourism development.During the interaction, the public raised several specific demands aimed at boosting the region, including the setup of a polytechnic college, better railway connectivity, enhanced sports infrastructure, and legal facilities.

Concerns regarding minority welfare and the effective implementation of the Forest Rights Act were also discussed, alongside requests for expanded banking services and robust tourism infrastructure to support the community.Responding to the grievances, the MP assured the gathering that their genuine demands would be fast-tracked with the relevant authorities for early resolution.

He stressed the importance of inclusive and people-centric development, instructing local officers to ensure the timely redressal of public issues. He also emphasized that local youth must be actively integrated into ongoing construction and development projects to boost employment and livelihoods in the sub-division.

The MP conducted a thorough review of ongoing developmental projects in the area, seeking immediate responses from the department heads present. While multiple grievances were resolved on the spot during the program, instructions were issued to the concerned departments for the speedy disposal of the remaining issues.

Local administrative officers, including Imtiaz Ahmed, Harjeet Singh, Kuldeep Raj, Saddam Hussain, Shakeel Ahmed, and other line department officials attended the meet.
