Sashastra Seema Bal signs memorandum of understanding with Pawan Ganga Educational Society to provide educational benefits for wards of personnel
NEW DELHI, June 1 — Sashastra Seema Bal has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Pawan Ganga Educational Society, New Delhi, to create enhanced educational opportunities and welfare benefits for the children of force personnel.
The signing ceremony took place at the Force Headquarters in the presence of Sashastra Seema Bal Director General Sanjay Singhal and other senior officers, while personnel from various field formations witnessed the proceedings virtually.
The event was also attended by key representatives from the Pawan Ganga Educational Society, including Colonel Ashok Kaul, Director of the society, and Swati Joshi, Principal of Ganga International School.The newly established partnership introduces several critical educational benefits and fee concessions specifically tailored for the families of the force.
Under the agreement, ten fully free seats at Ganga International School will be reserved for the children of Sashastra Seema Bal martyrs, subject only to mess charges, alongside a 60 percent fee concession for 250 eligible wards. Additionally, a 40 percent fee concession will be provided for 50 seats under a dedicated Public Outreach Programme.
For higher education, the agreement secures five full tuition-waiver seats at GITAM for the wards of martyrs, as well as a 20 percent tuition fee waiver for 100 children of serving personnel.
Beyond tuition concessions, the initiative guarantees the students access to skill development programs, innovation ecosystems, internships, entrepreneurship support, and placement assistance, reinforcing the ongoing commitment of the force to the long-term welfare and future of its personnel and their families.
